FAQs
Are chemical peels suitable for everyone?
Chemical peels are suitable for most skin types. Mariam offers a diverse range of peels designed to address different skin concerns, from gentle PHA peels for sensitive skin to more intensive mono peels. Your skin will be carefully assessed before each treatment to ensure the peel selected is appropriate for you.
Is one peel enough?
For best results, a course of 6–8 peels spaced every two to four weeks is generally recommended, rather than relying on a single aggressive treatment, which may increase the risk of skin damage.
Treatment usually begins with lighter peels (such as lactic acid 20–30%) and gradually progresses to stronger formulations—up to 60% over approximately three months—depending on skin tolerance. Your skin therapist will assess your skin type and determine the most suitable peel strength for you.
